HADCROFT Rovers beat Sporting Club 3-2 in the Dudley and Cradley League's Dudley Guest Hospital Charity Cup.

An eventful game saw Hadcroft scrape through to the first round. Elliott Lawley opened the scoring for Hadcroft on 14 minutes.

Adam Alsop almost equalised for Sporting two minutes later when his shot scraped the outside of the post. On 44 minutes, Hadcroft increased their lead with a second for Elliott Lawley against the run of play.

Sporting came out fighting in the second half and reduced Hadcrofts lead on 52 minutes with a goal from Benjamin Slater. The game was end to end and on 67 minutes Sporting were awarded a spot kick that Benjamin Slater converted.

The match was looking like extra time was going to be required until Hadcroft were awarded a spot kick in the 90th minute. Josh Dryden stepped up and converted the kick.

Kingswinford Swan beat Spennells United 4-1.

Kingswinford Swan started strongly and opened the scoring on 10 minutes when a Liam Hickman through ball found Joe Lawley who put the ball into the net. Swan doubled their lead on 25 minutes when Josh Mills put the ball into the net following a fine cross from Liam Hickman.

Spennells came out strong at the start of the second half and within a couple of minutes had halved the deficit with a Dan Oliver free kick 2 - 1. Kingswinford Swan had to raise their game and on 56 minutes Josh Mills scored a 35 yard strike to increase swans lead following an assist from Stuart Tibbetts.

Swan finally killed off the opposition when substitute Ryan Hickman scored a goal from close range following a cross from Ash Barker.

Wordsley AFC Reserves beat Arley Kings 3-1 and Withymoor lost 3-1 at home against Roebuck.

The second round will take place on Sunday, December 4.
