DUDLEY and Stourbridge Harriers (DASH) started the new cross country season last Saturday which gave new members a chance to stretch their legs.
The Leamington Spa race gave a testing course but the usual water ditch didn't make an appearance this year leaving Observation Hill to be the challenge of the race.
Finishing first for Dash, Dave Nation came back in 17th with David Ratcliffe second in 25th and Ian Mansell third with 26th.
To complete the A team Ben Foster, Robert Meredith and Scott Palmer finished in 30th, 36th and 130th respectively.
Martin Harrigan followed close behind in 135th, Darrell Bodin in 148th and Ashleigh Bentley in 163rd.
