ANDY Allardice thinks Dudley Town's recent revival is down to the progress his young players are making.

The Robins sit fourth from bottom in the West Midlands Premier League but are unbeaten in their last four games.

That improved form continued with a 1-1 draw at Black Country Rangers last Saturday after Shawn Devonport struck in the second half to level the game.

Allardice said: "We were poor in the first half against Black Country but I got the response I wanted in the second half.

"We finished the game well and could even have nicked it at the end. They were holding on a little and we could have won because of the second half showing.

"We now just need to find that consistency where we can play like that for a full 90 minutes.

"We had a difficult time a six weeks ago but I think we are now coming through that.

"I put that down to the fact we had a lot of young players. They are finding their feet now and making the right decisions. As they have improved so has the team.

"Hopefully we can now start to push away from the drop zone."

Town will look to pick up more points when they host mid-table side Willenhall at the Dell this Saturday (3pm).

Lee Smith is now available after work commitments and Ethan Barnett is back after a calf injury.
