DEFENDER Kristian Green has left Stourbridge and completed a move to National League outfit Solihull Moors.

The versatile former Gornal and Halesowen Town player was the subject of a seven-day approach from the Moors as he was not on contract with the Glassboys.

After talks this week he has opted to make the two-step leap up the non-league pyramid and test himself at National League level.

Chairman Andy Pountney said: "We're sorry to lose Kristian. He's been marvellous and a really consistent performer for us in his 18 months at the club.

"We thank him for his efforts and really wish him all the best at Solihull. We'll follow his progress with interest. We do have strength in depth in the squad though and the opportunity is there now for the likes of Junior (Smikle), Knighty (Chris Knight) and Lewis (Probert) to stake their claim with Gary for the jersey."
