DAN Scarr is poised to become a Championship player after Stourbridge accepted a bid from Birmingham City.

Glassboys boss Gary Hackett confirmed the Northern Premier League side had agreed a transfer fee for the defender's services, but he would not disclose the amount.

However, Hackett did say all parties were happy with the fee and the transfer would also include add-ons.

With the offer accepted, Scarr, who was present at Saturday's 2-0 victory at home to Marine, will now discuss personal terms with Birmingham leaving his future in his own hands.

Scarr, who had a trial with the Championship side this week, is under contract until the end of the season.

He also had a trial at West Bromwich Albion before playing for the Blues under-23 side on Monday.

Stourbridge’s goalscorer in their FA Cup third round defeat to Wycombe could be the second cup hero to leave to leave the Amblecote club this week after Kristian Green moved to Solihull Moors.
