DUDLEY Town boss Andy Allardice has handed his players the target of four more points to avoid the drop.

The Robins, who sit fourth-from-bottom, have just four more games remaining in the West Midlands Premier League this season, including a key clash with third-from-bottom side and local rivals Dudley Sports.

Allardice said: "I think four points should do it for us and that is our first aim.

"Hopefully we can do enough to stay up and then look to improve the team over the summer so we're not in this position again."

Allardice wants to bring in some experienced heads to help his youngsters over the summer.

He added: "We have put a lot of emphasis on youth this season but I think we need a bit more experience to compliment them.

"Andy Arnold and Shawn Devonport have been very important to us this season for that reason. We put a lot of weight on their shoulders but they have been fantastic."

Town didn't have a game last Saturday but will now take on mid-table side AFC Bridgnorth away this weekend.

The break did give Allardice the chance to field a few trialists in a friendly between the first team and the club's under-18 side.
