National League Division 2 North: Stourbridge 36, Otley 26

STOUR appeared to cruising towards a convincing win over Otley after going 31-0 ahead early in the second half but then appeared to take their foot off the gas as the Yorkshire side were allowed to hit back and earn themselves a try scoring bonus point.

Flanker Nigel Mukarati waltzed over for an early Stour try following a line-out after 12 minutes Impressive No.8 Ciaran Moore added a second try from another line-out, peeling off from the resulting rolling maul.

Then a spell of slick passing saw inside centre Nathan Tilsley sprint over for a third try on the stroke of half time.

Fly half Chris Scott added a couple of conversions to put Stour 19-0 ahead at the break.

Immediately upon resumption, Stour snapped up a fourth and bonus point try, second row Chris Depper getting himself on the end of a ball along the backs to storm over in the corner.

Then try machine Dan Rundle finished off another flowing move along the backs for a fifth try with Scott kicking the extras.

Otley appeared to be heading for a pasting but finally got themselves on the scoreboard after 52 minutes when centre James White was bundled over by a driving maul with full back Tom Hodson converting.

Stour struck back, replacement prop Mark George making it six tries on 65 minutes following another driving maul move to put his side 36-7 in front.

With the outcome already wrapped up, Otley were then allowed back into the game with three late tries to secure a bonus point for themselves.

Flanker James Wood went over following a catch and drive move on 68 minutes before Hodson raced over for a third try which he converted himself.

There was still time for Otley to add another try when hooker Ben Steele was driven over from the last move of the match after Ciaran Moore had been yellow carded and Hodson converted.
