PLAYERS from Wollaston Tennis Club took a step towards competing at Wimbledon in Britain's biggest junior tennis competition.
The Wollaston club hosted its round of the HSBC Road To Wimbledon event for youngsters aged 14 and under.
The national finals of the event will take place at the iconic All England Club in SW19, which is home to arguably the most famous tennis tournament in the world.
The Wollaston event served up some excellent tennis and very closely fought matches, nearly half the matches were decided on a third set championship tie-break.
The final was contested between Harvey Parsons and Michael Scriven, with Harvey victorious. Harvey and Michael will now represent Wollaston at the Staffordshire county final.
Charlie Nicholls won the third place play-off against Bobby Gale.
Wollaston junior's chairman, Dave Scriven, said: "This is the first time Wollaston have entered this national competition. our juniors were keen to compete and the club stage was both competitive and enjoyable."
