CRADLEY boss Will Pottinger knows his side cannot afford any more slip-ups when they host Plymouth at Perry Barr tonight (7.30pm).

The Heathens were left reeling by a heavy defeat against local rivals Birmingham last week, but Pottinger has called on his side to issue a response or run the risk of missing out on the National League play-offs.

He said: “There’s no two ways about it, that performance last week just wasn’t good enough. With the riders we’ve got we shouldn’t be losing to Birmingham like that, so we need to take stock and improve.

“We’ve got to learn from it when we ride against Plymouth, because we can’t afford to keep dropping points.

“We need to pick our game up and look to put things right on Wednesday because if we’re going to make the play-offs we can’t ride like we did against Birmingham again.”

The Heathens have drafted in Ben Morley to guest for Danny Ayres, who is in SGB Premiership action for King’s Lynn, whilst they are otherwise at full strength.

Plymouth are led by experienced trio Steve Boxall, Adam Roynon and Benji Compton as they look to repeat their narrow Knockout Cup win at Perry Barr against Birmingham a fortnight ago.

CRADLEY: Ben Morley, Joe Lawlor, Dan Greenwood, Luke Harris, Tom Perry, Conor Dwyer, Shelby Rutherford.
