DUDLEY Town manager Andy Allardice has challenged his players to take full advantage of starting the season with three successive home games.

The Robins will begin their West Midlands Premier League season by welcoming AFC Bridgnorth this Saturday (3pm kick-off).

That will be followed by the visit of Tividale next Wednesday (7.45pm) and then Bewdley Town on August 12 (3pm).

After bringing in 11 new players over the summer, Allardice is keen for his new-look side to be dominant at the Dell.

He said: "We do start with some very tough games this season but the fact that they're all at home means we want to make them count.

"We will be going for it and want to start well.

"I'm really pleased with the players we have been able to bring in. I think we are a strong side than last year, which is important because we don't want to be down at the bottom again.

"A few players are still bedding in but the signs are really good. It's important that the first team does much better this year because of how well our youth set-up is going. The flagship side has to also be doing well."

Alex Cameron has now been promoted to the first team full time and Todd Ferrier will also spend time between the first team and the under-18s.
