IT is all to play for in Worcestershire County League Division One 1st XI after wins for the top teams.

Stourport remain top after Captain Andrew Siwicki led them to a five wicket victory with an undefeated 74 to help his side chase down Cookley's first innings 181 for whom Jamie Brighton scored 96.

Bewdley remain tight on the leaders heels after a fine batting performance led by Ash Fearnall 117 and Simon Mauger 87 saw them post 344 in the first innings against Colwall which proved enough to win after Jack Mills claimed 5-50 in the second innings.

Evesham are in third after Adnan Sagheer took a second innings 6-18 to secure victory against Chaddesley who slip to fifth.

Worcester climbed back in to fourth after Bryn Evans compiled an excellent second innings 131 not out to help his team chase down Pedmore's first innings 262 which was inspired by an excellent 138 not out from Asif Iqbal.

In other matches Hagley cruised past Burghill to remain in touch in mid-table and 90 from Daniel Bloomer helped Feckenham post over three hundred in the first innings which proved too many for Worcester Nomads to chase as they continue to fall off the pace.

Division Two 1st XI looks set for an excellent title race with no more than six teams in with a chance of claiming the title.

Oldswinford seem to be hitting form at the right time as they claimed another excellent win, this time by two wickets away at fifth-placed Belbroughton, a victory that thanks to other results takes them top.

Bromyard are second despite losing at Flaggoners Green to Old Vigornians. The home club would have been happy with their first innings as Zahid Seed returned to form with 99 not out to help compile what looked like a match winning 294-6 but a fine century under pressure from Max Richardson (107) in the second innings led visitors Old Vigornians to a welcome win.

Coombs Wood marched back into third spot just three points behind Bromyard after Dan Jones 102 not out and Carl Whyte (64) helped them chase down Himbleton's first innings 254-5 (Alastair Pretty 90) for the loss of just three wickets, Bredon slipped to fifth as they were unexpectedly beaten by lowly Bartestree by one wicket and Droitwich Spa now find themselves in mid-division after they were the beneficiaries of a concession win over Kempsey who were one of a few smaller clubs on the day unable to raise a team.

In the division's other match Enville beat basement club Wormelow by three wickets

In Division Three 1st XI leaders Lye drew clear of the pack thanks to a concession win over Martley who failed to raise a team due to the World Cup.

They are now thirty two points clear of second-placed Alvechurch who lost to Netherton, who move into third position just one point ahead of Rushwick who were beaten by twenty-four runs at lowly Bromsgrove.

Elsewhere, fifth-placed Harborne lost at Eastnor who are steadily climbing the table, Five Ways Old Edwardians beat bottom side Malvern by five wickets and Avoncroft won a high scoring match at home by two wickets against second-from-bottom Hanley Castle & Upton.

In Division Four 1st XI the top three teams all won to move nearly forty points clear of the chasing pack.

Romsley remain top as Luke Miley took 5-25 in the first innings to restrict Stourbridge to a first innings total which they chased for the loss of five wickets, D Williams led second placed Halesowen to victory as he scored an undefeated second innings 82 to help secure a seven wicket win against Stourport and Paul Boycott claimed 5-30 to ensure Astwood Bank stay third after winning at Himley by five wickets.

Former leaders Claverley slipped further off the pace as they lost a high scoring match against Kidderminster at Chester Road. James Williams scored 111 for Kidderminster who won by forty three runs despite the best efforts of Tom Grainger for Claverley (5-75) and 71 not out.

The other two matches in the division were conceded by Hallow Taverners and Tenbury Wells as they failed to raise teams because of the World Cup match. Alveley and West Malvern were the respective beneficiaries.
