DAVE King says it's "so far, so good" as Tividale's pre-season gathers pace.

The manager at The Beeches has kept the majority of last season's second-placed squad intact as well as adding Rion Francis-Mill in attack and defender Matt Hart from AFC Wulfrunians.

They have won both of their pre-season friendly fixtures with a 3-1 success over Quorn and last Saturday's 7-1 success against Cadbury.

King said: "It's so far, so good. The lads are working really hard and nearly everyone has re-signed from last season.

"It means we have just been able to work with the same group and only add a couple in the right areas.

"I'm really happy with the squad now.

"There is room for one more if the right person becomes available but no more than that."

Dale will continue their preparations with friendly clashes at Tipton Town on Wednesday night and Studley on Saturday.
