TEENAGE Kinver golfer Arron Wright showed off his star potential by claiming victory in Enville Golf Club’s annual club championship.
The 17-year-old junior player, one of the youngest in the competition, defeated his more experienced senior rivals by shooting rounds of 69 and 72 off a handicap of four.
Held each year since the club formed, the championship consists of two rounds over the club’s Highgate and Lodge courses.
A member at Enville for just six months, former Edgecliff pupil Arron (pictured) has been playing the sport for five years and recently returned from a three year stint at an Australian golf academy.
The youngster harbours dreams of joining golf’s professional ranks and has now reduced his handicap to three.
He said: “My ambition is to make it in the sport, I play golf six days a week.
“I enjoy the sport, being out in the sun. At the minute I’m playing in a lot of competitions.”
