JUNIOR swimmers from Halesowen Swimming Club put in more top performances to secure a place in the County Division One final for the first time in their history.
Despite a tough draw in round three of the Nuneaton Junior league, the club went into Saturday’s event knowing a top two finish would secure a spot in the final.
In the end it proved a formality as Halesowen sat comfortably in second place throughout.
They secured fifth spot in the league table to comfortably ensure a position in the final at Wolverhampton on Saturday September 12.
Double event winner was nine-year-old Mark Laing in the Breaststroke and Freestyle. Other swimmers picking up wins were Megan Willetts and George Davies in the Backstroke and Brittany Horton in the Butterfly.
Ruby Fell, Chloe Bate and Chloe Finch placed first in the U11 Medley Relay.
