A BRACE from Anthony Cox helped ten man Tividale triumph 4-2 over Dudley Town in a pulsating derby clash at the Dell Stadium.

The result made it two wins out of two for Tivi this season, while their rivals will have to recover in time for an FA Cup clash with Walsall Wood this Saturday.

It all started so well for Town, Marvin Nisbett giving them the lead when he capitalised on a defensive error to head home on 15 minutes.

But the lead lasted less than a minute, Adam Hill converted Cox's low cross to level for the visitors.

Two minutes later Tivi were in front as Cox cut in with the right and fired past Robins' keeper James Pemberton from an acute angle.

The Dale were on top but on the hour Dudley levelled and gained a man advantage, as a quick breakaway saw Mensah Kinch felled in the box by Luke Bradley.

The defender was given his marching orders and Danny Ashton stepped up to convert the spot-kick.

Town pressed for a third but were dealt a sucker punch, Sam Williams volleying home brilliantly from the edge of the box to restore The Dale's lead.

An out-of-sorts Robins side were struggling to break down a resolute Tivi rearguard and the visitors sealed a deserved win in stoppage time, Cox capitalising on a defensive mix-up to fire home.
