Shokker, Conlon and Windle win on Warley show

WARLEY Boxing Club held their end-of-season tournament at Old Hill Plaza.

Thirteen bouts took place against local clubs such as Walsall Wood, Black Country and Great Wyrley ABC.

Notable wins came from Jara Shokker, Danny Conlon and Matt Windle.

Haydn Birkenshaw lost on a decision but trainer John Nash was pleased with the all-round performance of his fighters.

The season is now at an end and the club’s boxers will take a break, although Windle has a bout coming up on a show hosted by Aston ABC at the Albany Hotel on Friday, May 18.
