Golden joy for judo pair

DUDLEY Judo Club claimed a significant medal haul at the Green Belt and under championships in Kidderminster.
Ten Dudley fighters, all aged between eight and 14, travelled to the event and came away with 11 medals.
Tom Dalebo and Lucas Kent were the stars of the show as they won gold, with Charlotte Smith picking up a silver and a bronze.
Debutant Joe Knapton was among a number of Dudley members who picked up a bronze, along with Ben Dalebo, Olivia Smith, Megan Davies, Lucy Harris, Amy Gettings and Bethany Chandler.
Chief instructor Alan Hackett said: “I’m really proud of them all. Our total medal haul so far this year is 17 golds, 12 silvers and 28 bronzes.”
