Glassboys clash with Kettering moved back

STOURBRIDGE FC’s clash with Kettering Town has been postponed until Wednesday.

The Southern League Premier fixture was originally due to take place tomorrow night at the War Memorial Ground but has been moved back 24 hours at the request of the visitors.

It follows the tragic death of four-year-old Dylan Cecil, who drowned at Burnham on Sea last month and whose family are all season ticket holders at Kettering.

His funeral takes place tomorrow and as the club’s staff and officials wish to attend, they made a request to the league asking for the Stourbridge game to be moved.

Stour secretary Clive Eades said: “We have agreed to the request.

“Under the circumstances we felt it was certainly the right thing to do.”

Wednesday’s game kicks off at 7.45pm.
