Superb second for Clarke

HAGLEY cycling star Matt Clarke finished an impressive second on the famous Horse Shoe Pass Hill Climb.

The 18-year-old showed his climbing ability to finish just 10 seconds behind the winner on the brutal North Wales course, which rises more than 800 feet in three miles with an average gradient of 6.7 per cent.

Halesowen team-mate Mitch Isles also rode impressively to finish the third fastest junior.
