Eggington hoping for knockout present
9:00am Friday 19th October 2012 in Sport
STOURBRIDGE welterweight Sam Eggington is hoping to celebrate his birthday in style tonight.
Eggington turned 19 on Monday but had no time to party as he prepared for his meeting with Charlie Thompson at Birmingham’s Holiday Inn.
It is the former Warley ABC star’s second prefessional bout and he will be looking to make it two wins from two, following his impressive debut points win over Leon Findlay in Swansea last month.
Doncaster-based Thompson is eight years the Stourbridge man’s senior and has won three of his six professional contests.
His two defeats include a knockout loss to Cameron Stevenson back in March.
