A fourth case should lead to yet more damages being paid by polluters.

The ACA has been at the forefront in the battle against polluters since 1948 and has brought thousands of cases to a successful conclusion, recovering millions of pounds for those affected.

The association is a powerful deterrent and makes a real difference to the quality of watercourses and lakes in the UK.

Anyone who enjoys wildlife in our rivers, lakes and canals benefits from their work, as ultimately do all of us who drink tap water!

Membership is just £20 per year and every penny goes towards keeping the waterways of the UK free from pollution.

Today's ACA, with its highly professional staff, takes on all polluters and others who would damage fisheries from the largest multinational corporations, to one-man fly-tipping operations.

If necessary, the ACA will pursue cases all the way to the House of Lords.

In its entire history, the ACA has only lost three cases - a record second to none.

Guy Linley-Adams, ACA solicitor commented: "We are delighted with progress so far this year. The ACA's legal team has every intention of making this the ACA's best year yet, following the records we set in 2006."

Mark Lloyd, ACA Executive Director said: "This record demonstrates why it is so important for every angler to support the ACA's work; membership is just £20 a year.

This month's award goes to Anthony Rogers, for his amazing 181-13-0 match winning catch at the Izaak Walton Fishery, a record for February match weights at the midland venue.

Anthony works for tackle giant Preston Innovations and was at the time testing a new item of tackle that's set to be released onto the market soon.

Well it certainly worked, as he caught carp to 10lbs, to post the highest match weight in the UK last weekend.

As Anthony works in the tackle trade his monthly prize of a Decathlon Geologic reel will be donated to the fishery, as a prize for a junior event.

Get On The Rivers!

With just under four weeks left of the river season, now's the time to get a few flowing water trips planned Whether the rivers are low and clear or high and coloured, there's plenty of day ticket stretches within easy traveling distance, to provide some end of season action.

Bridgnorth, has always been popular with Black Country anglers and the free stretch above the town bridge on the left bank looking upstream, is fishing very well for roach to 1lb, chub to 3lbs and barbel to 6lbs.

On the opposite bank, downstream of the bridge, the Well Meadow day ticket stretch, has produced barbel to 10lb this winter.

A little more sedate but equally as enjoyable, is the tiny River Stour at Wolverley alongside the bowling green, if the rivers are up and coloured due to heavy rain this small narrow stretch will provide mixed nets of chub, roach, perch and gudgeon.

The town stretches at Evesham, have produced some cracking match weights this winter, between the floods.

Hampton Ferry and Evesham Town have also produces pike to 15lb and Zander to 10lb, when the river is low cold and clear.

At weekends these stretches are very popular, weekdays see plenty of spots available.
