Duo still in hunt for some silverware

Dudley Sports finished their West Midlands Premier Division campaign on a high thanks to a fine away day victory at Ellesmere Rangers on Saturday.

Their 2-1 win came courtesy of goals from Ross Harris and Lee Lough to seal them a top ten finish at the very least.

The Hillcrest Avenue outfit are still in the hunt for some silverware however.

They travel to AFC Wulfrunians next Tuesday (7.45pm kick-off) for the second-leg of their League Cup semi-final.

The tie hangs in the balance after the first game ended 2-2.

The other semi-final will see Gornal Athletic host Wednesfield at the same time with the Peacocks leading 1-0.

Before then they will welcome AFC Wulfrunians to the Garden Walk Stadium this Saturday (3pm kick-off) in their last league game of the season.

They will be high on confidence after beating rivals Dudley Town 1-0 last weekend thanks to a Michael Robertson goal.

The Robins will also finish their league campaign this Saturday (3pm kick-off) when struggling Bromyard stop off at the Dell Stadium.

Town need a win to give them any chance of finishing in the top five.
