HALESOWEN Town will go into their top-of-the table clash away at Kings Lynn this Saturday, with boss Morell Maison looking to hit their rivals with a painful promotion blow.

The Yeltz will head east sitting second in the BGB Premier Division, only two points clear of their third-placed hosts.

Although the game only has three points up for grabs the manager believes their is a lot more than that at stake.

Maison said: "This is a huge game for both sides.

"It's one of those matches that has got more than just three points up for grabs.

"It gives both of us the opportunity to hand out a big blow to the other's promotion credentials."

A crowd in excess of 1,500 is expected at Kings Lynn's Walks Stadium but Maison believes his squad have more than enough experience to be able to deal with such an occasion.

He said: "A lot of my players have played in front of much bigger crowds throughout their career so playing in-front of a big crowd is of no concern.

"We have players like Mark Osborn, Darren Caskey, Zema Abbey and David Perpuetinini who have been there and done it on a big stage.

"Add to that our superb away following which is likely to be in excess of 200 on Saturday.

"I'm sure they will cheer us on throughout and will ensure they can be heard."

Maison is sweating over the fitness of key trio Dennis Pearce, Zema Abbey and Shane Paul.

All three are carrying knocks and the boss will give them as much time as possible to prove their fitness before deciding on his final 16.

One player who will be in contention is new signing Patrick Peters.

The former Finland U21 striker was snapped up by Maison last week and made his debut as a substitute in the Yeltz's 4-1 win at home to Bashley last Saturday.

The 23-year-old is someone Maison holds in high regard having also signed him while in charge of Kettering Town.
