Leaders bounce back
Premier Division high-fliers Brierley Hill Snooker Centre A bounced back from last week's defeat to hammer their own B team 5-0.
However, Maria Catalano was taken to the final ball by Bob Sidaway, while Darren Oakes had a break of 47.
The win as opened up a three-point lead again at the top of the table, after their nearest rivals, Baggeridge Social A defeated Kinver A 3-2.
Mark Allen- preparing for a successful tilt at a final qualifying round for the World Championships at Sheffield next month- Reanne Evans with a fine break of 73, and her brother, Richard with a 48 break in the decider gave Kinver little chance, but Andrew Highfield and Simon Hickman, who began with a decisive 69 took a frame each.
Chris Southall, Rob Howen and Joe McCrum gave Brandhall Labour a change of fortune after at Amblecote Institute A.
Although Stourbridge Institute's youngsters, Tom Johnson and Ashley Aston gave them a great start, Norton Social A's senior trio of Mick Worrall, Chas Rendle and Colin Allport turned the match around to win 3-2.
Hot Shot's best form of the season, their fifth win in succession came at Pockets' expense, included a 46 break for Luke Higginbotham and lifted them to third.
First Division leaders, Kinver Constitutional B held on to their fivepoint lead by bringing to an end the good run of form enjoyed by Amblecote RBL A, whose unbeaten spell had lifted them into third place. Colin Stevens-Wood ended Jason Oakes' 12 frame unbeaten sequence and Mick Hartshorne and Ron Smith, who did well to beat Carl Williams in the decider, saved the match for Kinver with Rob Boylin and Barry Young replying.
Kingswinford Cons A held on to second place, with Roy Blewitt taking the decider against Baggeridge B's Trevor Cox. Baggeridge's Steve Welch beat Ivor Jones on the black, only his third defeat of the season.
Langley Bowling Club beat Stourbridge Institute B 3-2, while Amblecote Institute B had a great result at Norton B, thanks to Rob Pargeter, Steve Ball, who handed Dominic Allen only his third defeat, and Graham Hill who had another good result against Pete Cairns.
Amblecote Institute C extended their advantage at the top of the second division, but they had to fight all the way to see off their F team 3-2. Roger McManus, Roy Grainger and Mitch Skidmore eased them into a four-point lead, but Carl Butcher and Asa Humphries did well to take a frame each for the F team.
Amblecote's D team slipped to a 4-1 defeat at home to Stourbridge Institute D. Only Colin Lewis, on the black, could win, but Alan Cope, Roy Tromans, Tom Moran and Tony Willetts won well contested frames in a return to form for the Stourbridge team.
