Brierley Hill A team's lead at the top of the Premier Division has been trimmed to just two points despite their 3-2 victory at Norton Social A. Maria Catalano, David Oaks and Darren Oaks in the decider clinched the result but Graham Tomkins and Rob Pitt won consolation frames for Norton.

Second placed Baggeridge Social A won 4-1 at Pockets of Kidderminster, thanks to Adam Davies, Reanne Evans and her brothers, Richard and Ryan while Mark Jeffries was their only casualty.

Hot Shots of Langley were joined in third place when their five-match winning spree ended 3-2 at Stourbridge Institute A. Neil Beckley and Luke Higginbotham and Gordon Rdwards won the match for Stourbridge.

Another 4-1 success for West Midlands Police at the expense of Amblecote Institute, lifted them into a share of third place, above Bearwood Cons, who slipped to a 3-2 defeat at Kinver Constitutional A.

Kinver B team took a giant stride towards clinching the First Division Championship by taking all 5 frames at Baggeridge Soc B, whilst all other matches ended 3-2.

John Rees, Colin Stevens-Wood, Mick Hartshorne, who had the highest break of the night with a 54, Mitch Jones and Ron Smith won for Kinver, to move them seven points clear of their nearest rivals, Kingswinford Cons A.

John Hawker, Ivor Jones and Robin Hall steered Kingswinford to a 3-2 success at Amblecote Institute B and they retained their advantage over Amblecote R.B.L.A. and Stourbridge Institute B, both of whom had narrow victories to keep them within three points of second place, With only three matches to be played, there doesn't seem enough time for Kingswinford R.B.L and Amblecote RBL B to break into the top two places from seven points behind. Both teams won for the fourth time in succession with Amblecote's Darren Waldron just edging out Ashley Sidaway of Brierley Hill S.C.C. in a clash between two of the divisions and consistent players.

Amblecote Institute C's fifth successive win has seen them ease four points clear at the top of the Second Division. Roger McManus, Roy Grainger, Wayne Biggs and Mitch Skidmore won well-contested frames against their own D team, who only had Gerald Lyons' black ball win against Sam Harrison for a consolation frame, and they share third place.
