Season extended
Borough fisherman have been boosted by the news that the season at Himley Hall's Great has been extended.
This year's season will now close one day later and so will include fishing on Sunday, March 16.
Anglers will also be able to begin fishing again two days earlier than normal in June when the season starts on Saturday June 14.
Those fishing on Sunday, March 16 will also benefit by being able to fish for an extra day at the winter concessionary price of £ 2.30.
Senior Park Warden, Alan Peace, said: "Hopefully anglers will enjoy the chance to spend an extra day in the season fishing for that elusive big catch in one of the best coarse fishing pools in the Midlands.
"Anglers will be able to enjoy a few extra days fishing in 2008 in superb surroundings and I anticipate an excellent season ahead."
In the autumn new fish stocks will be added to the Great Pool in the form of 8 inch Tench
Anyone wishing to fish must bring along a valid Environment Agency rod licence.
