LYE Town stretched their wonderful West Midlands League unbeaten league run to 24 games this week following a second half mauling of Malvern Town.
Determined Malvern tried to make it hard work for Lye and held out for a blank scoresheet at half tjme.
But Malvern's resistence was instantly breached within a minute of second half resumption when striker Ricky Anslow raced through to score.
Lye went onto claim a 5-0 win with further goals arriving from Ben Wilkins, Damien Whitcombe, Kevin Nickle and Simon Williams.
Joint boss Martin Thomas claimed: "We have to accept that teams are going to come here and raise their game against us. We're a big scalp now and everyone wants to be the first team to beat us".
Lye lead the West Midlands League by a massive 11 point margin going into this Saturday's game at home to local rivals Dudley Sports where they will be missing Scott Gennard and Rob Sheffield through suspension.
