TIVIDALE have been crowned Midland Alliance champions.

Highgate United's failure to beat Tipton Town last night has ensured Tivi's title glory.

The Beeches outfit have only lost three games all campaign and crossed the finish line after drawing with Boldmere St Michaels last Saturday and beating Coleshill 3-0 on Tuesday.

They will now be presented with the Midland Alliance trophy at tonight's home game against Walsall Wood.

A spokesman from the club said: "We are immensely proud here at Tividale Football Club. The playing staff and coaches have done an amazing job this season, and the reward is no fluke - it is the result of a lot of hard work, often in the face of adversity. We'd like to thank the team management, coaches and players for their dedication.

"Of course, the thanks don't end there. Success within the white lines of the pitch can't happen without the dedication of those behind the scenes. It is impossible to document the hard work of everyone here, just as it is impossible to list everyone who has contributed their precious time to the club."
