DUDLEY Town are on the brink of announcing their managerial plans for next season.

The club is working hard behind the scenes to finalise an appointment for the 2014/15 campaign and is hoping to let fans know within the next few weeks.

Nigel Kirkham is currently looking after first team affairs on an interim basis after he was brought in following Andy Wyton's move to Midland Alliance neighbours Gornal Athletic.

However, the club is now looking to put a permanent figure in place.

The Robins lost 2-1 last Saturday away to Ellesmere Rangers but put in a good performance to draw 2-2 at home to Cradley Town on Monday.

Chairman Steve Austin said he has been encouraged by the players reaction to the Ellesmere defeat.

"We were nowhere near our best against Ellesmere. It is frustrating because I think it is a game we could have won if we had been," he said.

"But the game against Cradley was very encouraging. We created a lot of chances and could have won. We now want the players to build on that showing and enjoy the last few games."

Dudley are due to take on Wellington Amateurs at The Dell tonight before travelling to play title contenders Shawbury United on Saturday.

Dudley Town is also seeking new major sponsors for next season.

Chairman Stephen Austin added: "After a number of years with successful sponsor relationships with big names in the local area, including Centro and Westfield, we are now seeking new partnership sponsors for next season's campaign.

"I would really like the local community of Dudley to engage with us and support the club in moving forward. We are seeking sponsorship deals across the board, but to begin with we are looking for a company or organisation to become our main and community sponsor for the 2014/15 season.

"In doing so, providing the funds to purchase a new sponsor branded home strip for our flagship first team. I would be delighted to speak to any local organization or individual who is prepared to help and support their local club."

A range of other sponsorship deals are available including match, match ball, tracksuit, programme and advertising hoardings.
