Having lifted silverware last season, Oldbury based Brandhall Colts look keen to continue their Beacon Sunday league success story this campaign.

This week they extended their 100 per cent Paycare Division start with a second successive victory, inflicting a 4-0 defeat on visiting Hagley United, writes Dave McLean.

And it was the Armstrong brothers Connor and Kyle who were on target again with one and two goals respectively - an own goal rounded off the scoring - as last season's Cater Cup winners kept up their strong start.

Also securing a second successive win were new boys Trysull FC who kept up their impressive start as they soundly defeated hosts Bushbury Hill 7-1.

Anthony Smith surprised the newcomers by giving Bushbury an early advantage before Trysull fired back in deadly fashion to lead 3-1 at the break.

The duo of Kian Burborough and Benji Johnson grabbed doubles, well supported by James Fletcher, Connor Stokes and Lewis Roberts.

Extending their unbeaten start were AFC Sporting Gornal as they made it four points out of six with a convincing 5-0 away triumph at AFC Goldthorne.

Tyler Goodyear inflicted most damage with a well taken treble, as Gregg Corbett and Jordan Bristow chipped in with single efforts.

On the same points are Sedgley & Gornal United West as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Gunmakers Arms.

Ryan Benton gave the hosts a 20th minute lead, before an equaliser on the hour from Harry Hill secured a share of the spoils for undefeated Sedgley West.

Also on four points from two matches are last season's Development Division champions Sedgley Rangers.

After conceding an early goal at Lane Head Titans, who had Jamie Wassell on target, Rangers hit back through Jordan Robinson, Craig Bickley, Jack Dunkley and Ash Sadler to take maximum points following an opening day draw.

In their first outing of the season, Sedgley & Gornal United East picked up all three points as the trio of Dan Cresswell, Dan Hickman and Ashton Rose found the mark at Kewford Eagles.

In the Concentric Property Over 30s Division, HC Rangers and Claregate Park Rangers Vets shared six goals.

In a thriller at Windsor Avenue, Claregate took a 2-0 half time lead, only to trail after HC Rangers showed great battling qualities to bounce back and lead 3-2. It was late on when Claregate secured a point.

Grabbing the limelight for HC Rangers were Dave Kennedy, Hayden Beasmore and Ben Wilkins, with Isaac Meggoe (two) and Rodney Williams responding.

Issa Casuals bounced back after a first day setback to secure their first win, running out 4-0 victors at AFC Willenhall Vets. The former were well served by Jimmy Scragg (two), Sam Brack and Kevin Uprich.

In the final game of the week, Sportsman hit the winning trail, running out 3-1 winners at Shere Punjab Seniors, efforts from Chris Brown (two) and Leon Brown, with Amrik Sanghera replying.
