Match of the day in the Beacon open age league ended with Sedgley and Gornal West beating Dudley Rangers 4-3 in a tight encounter.

Harry Hill opened the scoring in the 18th minute for Sedgley with a well struck half volley from outside the box.

Dudley equalised soon after through Scott Fisher before Callum O’Connell finished off a good move,slotting home from six yards to restore Sedgley’s lead.

Sedgley increased their lead on 37 minutes when Callum O’Connell outmuscled the Dudley centre half,the ball falling to lee Dolman to stab home.

Callum Campbell pulled one back in the 43rd minute following a corner to make the half time score 3-2 to Sedgley.

Campbell equalised with his second direct from a free kick in the 53rd minute.

From then on both teams had several chances which were spurned until 4 minutes from time when Callum O’Connell grabbed his second with a six yard tap in to wrap up the points for Sedgley and Gornal West.

Brandhall Colts overcame a weakened CT Rangers side 8-0 to continue their push for successive titles.

2-0 up at half time through goals from Conner Armstrong and Jakob Burroughs they upped the pace of the game to score 2 further goals through kyle Armstrong,returning from injury and another one from Conner Armstrong.

Right back Charlie Andrews struck from 20 yards,Jord Robinson headed home a smart cross from Lawson Birch and Taylor Parkes struck from close range to complete a well deserved victory.

Wombourne Athletic found WarstonesCG Wanderers too hard to handle.Warstones were 2-1 up at half time through a Rodney Williams brace but second half strikes from Reagan Wardle 2,Ashley Brown,Zachary Jackson and Rhyce Brown comfortably cemented the points.

In the league's other open age game Trysull FC comprehensively overcame Delph Runners 10-0.
