Hipkiss hits four for Hawks

DOM Hipkiss struck four as Halas Hawks under-13s crushed Halesowen Town Colts 9-2 in the cup.

Hawks lead 3-2 at half-time thanks to Hipkiss, Jack Guest and Sam Hamilton before running riot after the break. Liam Holmes and Michael Morton were also on the scoresheet.

The U9s West made a strong start against Halesowen Harriers, taking an early lead through Harry Williams.

Halas continued to dominate and scored a second with a strike from Daniel Giles before Nathan Reed and Callum Brownhill made it 4-0 before and grabbed a late consolation.

The U9s East also triumphed by a 4-1 scoreline against Brierley Hill.

After taking the lead with a Brierley Hill own goal, Halas scored two more through Rickio Fairin-Hall and Oliver Miller.

Brierley Hill pulled one back but in the second half Miller scored his second in a 4-1 win.

There was a good away win for the U10s East who beat Pensnett Panthers 2-0. Halas produced a fine passing display and lead midway through the first half through Jordan Berry. Halas scored their second when James Riggy headed home a cross after the best move of the game.

The U12s West progressed to round three of the league cup with a 4-0 win over Straits Cobras.

Halas went in at half time with a three goal lead thanks to Nathan Postin, Cameron Milne and Ellis Meredith. Jamie Theodosi added a fourth in the second half.

Goals from Jonty Round and Joshua Horton secured a 2-0 triumph for the U11s at Warley Albion.

Meanwhile the U12s Dynamos knocked defending champs Kewford out in the second round of the league cup.

The holders held a one goal lead at the half but Halas stepped up their game in the second period.

After missing a penalty they got back on level terms through Connor Smith’s spot kick and with only minutes left on the clock, Jake Saxton rocketed a free-kick into the top corner for the win.

Girls League The much awaited top of the table clash between Halas Hawks U10s and Gornal Girls ended 1-1.

Gornal took the lead after three minutes but Hannah Fellows earned Halas a point when she popped up in the middle of the penalty area.

The U13s returned to winning ways when they beat Withymoor by 4-1. An outstanding goal from Sophie Blount opened the scoring and Sophie Pritchard made it two. Chelsea Dudson and a goal from Mia Bell completed the scoring.
