Ellistown and Ibstock United 1, Halesowen Town 7

IYSEDEN Christie became the third player in history to score six goals in a FA Cup tie, as Step 6 minnows Ellistown and Ibstock were given a footballing lesson by the Yeltz, writes Reece Charlton.

Halesowen opened the scoring on 4 minutes, as Chris Lait ran down the right wing and hit a low cross towards Ben Haseley, who comfortably tapped the ball into the net for his first goal of the season.

However, the spirit of Ibstock got them back into the game on 13 minutes as a quickly taken free kick resulted in Ben Harris hitting the ball with precision into the bottom right corner to leave The Yeltz stunned.

But there was no looking back for Halesowen after that, as Iyseden Christie took the game by storm for the next 75 minutes. He regained the lead for the Yeltz on 27 minutes, as he jumped above his marker and then nodded the ball past the keeper and into the top of the net.

He did the same for his second goal, as he jumped above his marker to nod Lait's cross into the net, and he got his hat trick on 42 minutes, after heading home Asa Charlton's free kick.

The second half was all Christie, as his fourth goal of the game, and his third headed goal, came on 65 minutes, as he managed to head home Robert Thompson-Brown's cross to put this tie way out of reach for Ellistown and Ibstock.

Christie scored Halesowen's sixth on 73 minutes, as a goalkeeping blunder resulted in the ball being given to him a couple of yards away from a open net, and he comfortably claimed his fifth goal of the afternoon.

Christie ended the scoring on 83 minutes, as he slotted the ball from inside the penalty area into the top left hand corner, Halesowen are now in the hat for the third qualifying round and Iysden Christie sits at the top of the 'top scorers' list for this FA Cup campaign as it stands.
