Halesowen's five game unbeaten league run came to an end at Buxton on Saturday, as Mark Reed's 250th goal for the Bucks gave his side all three points, writes Reece Charlton.

The Yeltz made one change to the side that hammered local rivals Rushall Olympic, as Iyseden Christie made his return to the starting 11, taking Ben Haseley's place, who could only get a spot on the bench.

The first half was relatively quiet from both sides. Aaron Forde had an early chance as he latched onto Tom Tonks' pass, but his shot was comfortably caught by Aaron Jameson. The best chance of the half came on 43 minutes, as Shaun Tuton burst into the penalty area but his shot was pushed away from goal by an outrunning Matt Saregant.

The second half was a completely different affair, as both sides became more attacking and more creative in their play.

The game had its first goal in the 60th minute, as the ball was handled in the 18 yard box by Laurie Wilson, resulting with a Yeltz penalty. Christie stood up to take it, and he easily placed the ball into the bottom right hand corner.

However, Halesowen's lead would only last a matter of minutes, as Buxton started to string some passes together and eventually Mark Reed's flick-on allowed Shaun Tuton to run into the box and slot the ball under Sargeant to get Buxton's equaliser.

Then 7 minutes later, a long ball from the defender flew towards Mark Reed, who touched the ball down and he outmuscled Joe Hull before chipping the ball over an uncertain Sargeant to grab his 250th goal for Buxton, at the age of 32.

Halesowen couldn't find a way back into the game, and they departed the Peak District empty handed, despite an strong performance from the Yeltz.
