CRADLEY fans can travel to home meetings in style this year thanks to the club's new 'Ticket to Ride' scheme.

The reigning champions will be racing home meetings at Birmingham's Perry Barr Stadium on alternate Wednesdays, sharing the impressive venue with the Brummies.

And the club have forged a partnership with Kings Norton Coaches, based in Halesowen, to offer transport from Cradley Heath to Birmingham to make travel convenient and simple for the massive fan base.

The 'Heathens Ticket to Ride' is available by mail order with a downloadable form from the club's website.

Supporters can apply in person at Cradley Heath Liberal Club on each of the next two Thursday evenings, 22nd and 29th January, between 8pm and 9.30pm.

The pass, which is fully transferable, will be valid for the first 14 home meetings for a one-off payment of £100. The coach will depart from Cradley Heath Liberal Club at 6.15pm on race days, returning from Perry Barr 15 minutes after the completion of the last race.

Heathens co-promoter Gary Patchett said: "I have been working on bringing this to fruition since the announcement at our end of season Party that we would be racing at Perry Barr in 2015.

"We are delighted to join forces with Kings Norton Coaches and without whose help this might not have been possible. Many of our supporters will doubtless already be aware of the day trips and holiday packages offered by them and I would urge everybody to check out their website through the link from our own.

"We have received numerous enquiries since we announced our intentions to assist supporters with the cross-city journey to our new home and there is sure to be a keen demand.

"Numbers are initially limited to 53 and I cannot stress strongly enough that early booking is essential to avoid disappointment. Should there prove to be sufficient demand we will not hesitate to offer further locally based departures but, of course, that cannot be guaranteed. The 'Ticket to Ride' represents fantastic value at a little over £7 per meeting and gives a huge reduction on travel time compared to public transport."

Kings Norton Coaches Director Richard Egan said: "We didn't hesitate to offer the Heathens a competitive package when presented with the opportunity. It's a pleasure to be associated with a local, but internationally known, sporting institution.

"We trust that this is only the start of a long relationship between us and look forward to being able to offer supporters travel packages to away meetings and the Grand Prix in Cardiff, in due course."
