HALESOWEN Cricket Club will step up to the oche when they host a special event with top darts celebrity Wayne Mardle on Wednesday, April 29.

Mardle, a former World Championship semi-finalist and now a Sky Sports pundit, will appear at the Seth Somers Park venue in what promises to be an entertaining night for cricket and darts fans, members and players alike.

Mardle is widely regarded as one of the best exhibition players around.

Tickets are now on sale for the event, which also features Mardle’s Sky Sports colleague Nigel Pearson, who will host the evening.

And there’s a chance to play Mardle with a raffle on the night to stand alongside ‘Hawaii 501’ on the oche – as well as a question and answer session.

Mardle said: “I’m really looking forward to the event and I always have fun on the exhibition circuit.

“It’s always fun meeting members of the public and playing against them, so I can’t wait to meet the Halesowen people and West Midlands darts fans in general.”

There will also be an auction of sporting memorabilia on the night with a donation made to the club.

Fans wishing to secure their seat – numbers are limited - should contact the club on 0121 550 2744, or contact a Halesowen CC official. Alternatively, tickets can be ordered online at sportstalkevents.co.uk in the box office section.
