Halesowen Super Middleweight Lennox Clarke is wary of the threat posed by Dan Blackwell as he targets a first professional boxing belt this weekend.
The 23-year-old has recorded six consecutive victories since turning professional in 2013 and although confident of making it seven in a row, Clarke insists he will respect his more experienced foe.
Clarke competes for a British Bronze Masters Super Middleweight Title in Walsall on Saturday against the Trowbridge scrapper who, despite being just 21, has 46 professional fights under his belt.
“Blackwell is a tough opponent,” said Clarke. “He comes forward and will take a shot to land a shot. He’s had a lot of fights in a short space of time and you’ve got to give him credit for that. I’ve had a good camp and I’m ready to go now.”
