CRADLEY insist they are willing to listen to anybody who may be able to help in their quest to find land for a stadium of their own.

The Heathens have announced they will host their first meeting back at Monmore Green on Easter Monday, March 28, to usher in an exciting new era for the club.

With the club already on the verge of securing record season ticket sales, they are anticipating a bumper crowd for their return to the Wolverhampton venue after a year at Perry Barr.

However, club bosses remain desperate to achieve their goal of finding the world famous club a home track of their own within the area.

With their search for a suitable plot of land ongoing, club director Nigel Pearson says any individuals or businesses who may have land available should get in touch.

“It's an exciting time for the club and as we are opening during the Easter Holidays I'm sure we will see a bumper turnout,” Pearson said.

“The ultimate aim for this club remains to see us racing back in the Dudley / Sandwell area, but for now there is no doubt the next best thing is Monmore Green and we are all delighted to be back there.

“We will continue to work with our planning experts on land we feel may be suitable and, in the meantime, if another party believes they have a suitable venue then our door is always open to discuss this with them.

“It's great to see the response from everyone, Gary Patchett and Will Pottinger have done a smashing job with the team and Chris Van Straaten and Dr Rod Brooks did sterling work to enable us to return to Monmore. It's time to look forward and enjoy.”

Meanwhile, supporters have rushed to snap up tickets for the Heathens’ Season Launch Night at Cradley Heath Liberal Club on Monday, March 21 (8pm).

Less than 30 tickets remain for the event at £5 and are available from the club shop in Cradley Heath Market or on the club's official website cradleyheathens.co via PayPal.
