DUDLEY Sports boss Tony Gore says he is looking forward to taking on league leaders Shawbury United this Saturday.

Should the proposed clash go ahead it will be Dudley's first of the year after a rain-disrupted January.

He said: "They are top of the league for a reason but it is a game we should be looking to take something from if we want to finish in the top six.

"We beat them at our place earlier in the season and it was a really good game. Hopefully we can hit the ground running and cause them some problems.

"Everyone is looking forward to the game."

Gore has bolted his squad in recent weeks.

Midfielder Luke Williams and striker Craig Tibbetts have both arrived at Hillcrest Avenue from Cradley Town. Forward Ross Melrose has alsoliked up from Trysall.

"We felt like the squad needed freshening up a little, " added Gore. "We also need to think about the extra amount of games we are going to have to play.

"We now have a large and competitive squad and people need to perform to keep their place in the side."

Another boost come in the form of Matt Holland who is now just a couple of weeks away from returning from the broken leg he suffered early in the season.
