KINGSWINFORD Swan dished out a first defeat of the season for AFC Turners in the Dudley and Cradley League’s Joe Stanton Memorial Trophy semi-final.

Swan won 7-0 away from home to book their place in this year’s final.

Liam Hickman hit four of the goals as well as strikes from Luke Fellows, Matt Rodgers and Alex Perry.

They are joined in the final by Charlton House after they bagged a 4-1 win at Roebuck.

This game sprang into life after only three minutes when a kick out from the Charlton House goalkeeper went straight through Roebuck, leaving Luke Moulton to run on to a free ball and chip a first-time shot over the ‘keeper from 30 yards.

Charlton only held the lead for a minute as Roebuck replied straight back with a shot from the edge of the right-hand corner of the 18-yard box that flew into the top corner of the net from Jason Gale.

Both teams now started to create chances in an end-to-end game but it was Charlton House who scored on 31 minutes when a Chris Bayliss shot took a slight deflection, beating the Roebuck ‘keeper.

Three minutes later, Charlton House were awarded a spot kick that was well saved by Jamie Hyde.

Roebuck went on the attack late in the half and could have been level at the interval when Jack Green had his header cleared of the line. The ball fell back to his feet but the resultant shot flew over the bar.

House came out the stronger at the start of the second half and quickly increased their lead when Moulton scored on 49 minutes to make it 3-1 to the visitors. Moulton completed his hat-trick on 72 minutes to wrap up the tie.

Meanwhile, in the Premier Division, Phoenix beat Hasbury Colts 8-1 away.

Goals came from Steve Marsh (3), Dylan Shepherd (2) and one each for Kyle Evans, Matt Ravenscroft and Alex Pinches.

Lloyds claimed a 7-4 away success over Wollaston Harriers.
