MORE than 120 children took to the running and cycle track at Stourport Sports Club last Saturday to take part in the Black Country Triathletes’ Junior Duathlon.
Children aged between seven and 16 from across the area local triathlon clubs raced each other in several distance events depending on their age group.
Tristarts aged 7-8 completed a 400m run, a 1400m bike and finished with a 200m run building up to the Youth category who ran 2400m followed by a 11,400m bike and a 1200m run.
The BCT junior section came home with a number of medals across the different age groups.
Ella Harris took third place for the girls' Tristart age group, Abigail Kennard came second in the girls' Tristar 2 category and Ollie Mason and Joel Humpage came first and third respectively in the boys' Tristar 3 age group.
Holly Lewis was second and Daisy Briscoe third in the girls' youth category and Recce Ashfield was first in the boys' youth age group.
Elsewhere, Jacob Anson continued his good form finishing second overall and second in his age group at the Nuneaton Aquathalon.
