HAGLEY failed to fire when they visited leaders Worcester Nomads in Division One of the Worcestershire County League last Saturday.

They were bowled out for just 123 after being put into bat by their hosts.

Daniel Giles, batting at eight, top scored with an unbeaten 27 as the majority of the line-p failed to get to double figures.

Worcester knocked off the runs by the 22nd over for the loss of just two wickets.

Opener Innocent Kaia hit 60 to ease his side towards victory.

Hagley will welcome Bewdley this Saturday (1pm start).

Meanwhile, Belbroughton were able to record back-to-back wins as they triumphed by 185 runs at Oldswinford and Stourbridge Social.

Batting first in the Worcestershire County League Division One clash, Belbroughton amassed 245-8 on a tricky pitch.

Skipper Tom Oliver (56) and Aussie James Wilson (87) contributed well as Tom Blunt (4-44) was the hosts’ only bowler to peg the visitors back.

In reply Oldswinford and Stour Social were always on the back foot with new ball pair Ben Hawker (3-15) and Stu Hawk (3-12) wreaking havoc.

It was left to Oliver (3-13) to mop up the tail to secure victory.

Belbroughton seconds slipped to a disappointing six-wicket defeat at home to Coombs Wood but the club’s thirds bagged a satisfying win over Harborne to stay second in the table.

Belbroughton’s first team welcome Droitwich Spa this weekend and Oldswinford will host Swindon (both 1pm).

Also in Division One, Pedmore were defeated at Droitwich.

Their top order struggled as they were bowled out for 149 after being put in to bat.

Their tail wagged, especially through top scorer James Burgoyne’s 34, to offer some hope.

However, an unbeaten 95 from Spa opener Ash Fearnall made sure his side bagged the win.

Pedmore will welcome Stourport this Saturday (1pm).

In Division Two, Enville backed up their win over Lye the previous week by securing a fine success at Bredon.
