HALESOWEN gymnast Kristian Thomas has been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

He will join Louis Smith MBE, Max Whitlock, Nile Wilson, Brinn Bevanin the men’s artistic gymnastics team.

Thomas, who was European floor champion last year, will join triple Olympic medallist Louis Smith, who competes in his third Games, with World pommel horse champion Max Whitlock. All were part of the London 2012 team bronze medal winning line-up.

Nile Wilson and Brinn Bevan were both part of the historic 2015 World Championship team that took silver.
