ANDY Allardice admits he has a busy time ahead after taking sole charge of Dudley Town for the new season.

Allardice will take the reins after fellow joint-boss Nigel Kirkham stood down. He has been busy building his squad over the summer and has welcome a host of new arrivals to the Dell.

Striker Athan Bartlett, attacking midfielder Daryl Hand, defender George Reeves, midfielders David Bell and Matt Postin and goalkeeper James Scarratt have all linked up.

However, the Robins boss is now searching for other additions after a host of key men moved on.

Forward Aaron Lloyd has gone to Alvechurch, skipper Alex Perry to Sporting Khalsa and midfielder Brody Williams to Halesowen Town.

He said: “I thought everything was falling into place for us, but now a few have decided to move on. We are working hard to get other people in and will make sure that we stay positive.

“You always lose a few players at this time of the year, but we need to make sure we get others in.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge of taking charge on my own. I think sometimes last season it took too long to make decisions on the sidelines.

“It is going to be busier than I thought it would be, but all the players here are working very hard indeed.”
