DUDLEY Sports will go to Coleshill Town on Saturday looking to make further progress in this season’s FA Cup.

Sports booked their place in the preliminary round after a win on penalties against Nuneaton Griff last Wednesday.

They won the replay from the spot after the clash had ended 3-3, and now means Dudley can look forward to another big game this weekend.

Boss Tony Gore said: “We are under no illusion about how tough it is going to be but we go there without any pressure on us.

“It was a fantastic win against Nuneaton Griff and now we can look forward to another big game.

“It would be fantastic if we could go further, especially because of the money it brings the club.”

Meanwhile, Gore thinks the excursions from the cup game may have been to blame for last Saturday’s disappointing defeat to Wolverhampton Casuals.

Sports lost their league opener 3-1 and were looking to bounce back when they went to Bewdley last night.

“I do think the cup game took it out of us a little, but you don’t want that to be an excuse so close to the start of the season,” added Gore. “We had a few people missing as well, but they are back now.

“It was disappointing but I’m looking for the players to hit back at Bewdley ahead of the weekend. Hopefully we can then carry that forward into Saturday’s cup game.”
