DUDLEY Kingswinford boss Neil Shillingford has fired a warning to derby rivals Wolverhampton ahead of Saturday's showdown at Castlecroft Road (3pm).

Shillingford acknowledged the Midlands One West newcomers' surprise win at Crewe & Nantwich on Saturday had given DK food for thought ahead of the Black Country barnstormer but insisted his troops would be fully prepared for the battle.

Shillingford said: "After speaking to the Wolverhampton guys, their target is probably to stay in the division. They have specific games they are looking for results in and this will be one of them.

"There should be a good turnout and with Wolverhampton coming off a good result, even a surprising one to some, on Saturday, it will be an interesting match. They will be on a high but we go there prepared, ready and intending to take all of the points.

"We like the challenge of playing in front of a big crowd and with a lot of the lads on each side knowing one another, it should be a good, entertaining game.

"Both teams try to play a similar type of rugby with mobile back lines and a lot will come down to the clash between the forwards. There might be some tactical changes with one of two unavailable but we are in the enviable position of having a lot of strength in depth."

Full-back Nic Adams will certainly miss out after picking up an injury in Saturday's 26-15 home success against Whitchurch.

Mitch Grealy, Arran Hudson and right-wing Tommy Walker provided the tries but the hosts lost momentum in their search for the killer fourth when Danny Hawkins was sin-binned late on.

"We were happy with the result, just a bit disappointed we did not manage to get the bonus point," said Shillingford.

"The opportunity was there but when you look at the results across the division, there were some strange ones so we have to be happy with the victory and where it puts us."
