TIVIDALE boss Dave King wants his payers to take their new-found confidence into this Saturday's crucial clash with Shawbury United.

Tivi face fellow strugglers Shawbury at The Beeches looking to edge themselves further away from the bottom of the Midland Football League's Premier Division.

United are just four points ahead of King's men but have played two games more.

He said "We have won two out of the last three and need to go into the game with renewed confidence.

"It is a massive game for us at home and could give us a big boost for the rest of the season."

Dale are first set to meet Rugby Town in the Birmingham Senior Cup on Tuesday night before their attention turns to building on their recent league wins.

King confirmed he has made a seven-day approach to try to secure a new arrival after missing out on former Stourbridge defender Joe Hull.

Hull made three appearances for Tivi under duel registration but has now moved to Northern Premier League side Rushall Olympic.

However, Karl Gardner is also edging near a return to action to bolster Dale's defensive options.

Attacker Luke Morris has now left the club to join Bewdley Town.
