TIVIDALE boss Dave King was pleased with the way his side battled to their first clean sheet of the season at AFC Wulfrunians.

Dale secured a valuable away point when last Saturday's clash at Castlecroft ended goalless.

King said: "The result was a fair one and the clean sheet was a big positive for us.

"We worked hard on a heavy pitch and the draw keeps us in touch and fighting.

"We've now got a big three months left of the season to get ourselves out of trouble."

Tividale lost Chris Bladen and Nathan Jones before the Wulfrunians clash due to work commitments.

"It makes life difficult and we had to switch a few people around," added King. "But everyone did really well and we will look at the positives and move onto the next game.

"We have played better than that and lost this season but perhaps that is a good sign as well."

Tivi are set to face leaders Alvechurch tonight before going to Walsall Wood this Saturday.

Liam Smith is still suspended and Joe Woodall is injured. Karl Gardner and Darragh Bustin will face fitness tests.
