ASSISTANT manager Matt Clarke says Halesowen's run of five consecutive away games will hold no fear for his players.

Relegation-battling Yeltz bagged a vital three points with Saturday's 1-0 success over already-relegated Skelmersdale United.

Brad Lewis headed the only goal of the game just 10 minutes into the second half to hand Hales a win at the Grove.

Town had goalkeeper Dan Platt to thank for securing a vital three points when he kept out a 58th minute penalty from Steven Gillespie.

Yeltz are due to face Hednesford Town away tonight as they start a run of five games away from home. That will include the long trip to table-toppers Blyth Spartans this Saturday before culminating in a clash at fourth-from-bottom side Sutton Coldfield.

Clarke says his side will look forward to the challenge after the battling win over Skelmersdale.

"The win on Saturday wasn't the prettiest by a long way and performance-wise we were a little disappointed. The important thing was that we go the win.

"Skelmersdale came with nothing to lose and while the fans may have been disappointed we didn't beat them by more, you have to remember we are down there fighting ourselves and are probably a little short of confidence.

"It is difficult having to have so many games away but I don't think we have anything to fear from the top sides.

"This season we went to Blyth in the Trophy and were unlucky not to get the win, have beaten Nantwich and drawn at Spennymoor and Stourbridge.

"The key games for us will be against those around us in the league but we have done well away from home and we just need to continue to do that. We have a bit of a patched-up side at the moment but we will keep battling."

The coach also praised goalkeeper Dan Platt after his penalty save on Saturday, saying: "I think Dan would be the first to admit that he hasn't reached the levels we saw from him last season but he is a big player for us. In big games you have to come to the party and he has done that for us and I'm delighted for him. It was a great save and one that could be very important for our season."

The Yeltz have been dealt a blow with the news that on-loan Forest Green defender Jon Moran is likely to miss the rest of the season with a ligament injury.

Kyle Morrison is still two weeks away with an ankle injury and Brad Lewis is out with a hamstring problem.
