STOURBRIDGE Lions roared to promotion from Midlands Two West (North) with a crushing defeat over Newcastle (Staffs).
The 46-0 away win for the Stourton Park team sent their travelling support into raptures as the club hit a new high, winning the league with 92 points.
Rivals Camp Hill were still in the frame for top spot so the Lions needed a win and early nerves were settled by a try by scrum half Will King after 12 minutes following a series of scrums and penalties and then a ruck from which he dived over and Trinham added the extras.
The visitors were dominant in the scrum and lineout and a second try came eight minutes later when a drive sent club captain Charlie Harris across the line to touch down.
It took 30 minutes for the host to mount a meaningful attack was halted by Will Fallows who intercepted and charged clear to score.
The Lions added more as George Tildesley scored to secure a bonus point and a half time score of 0-24.
The host showed more endeavour in the second half but the Lions were in no mood to take the pressure off and added four more tries, two from veteran back-rower Simon Dawes plus one each for Alex Jones and Owen Williams.
